The Dave Miller Set: "No Need To Cry" (1970)

Guy Fawkes" 1969 erschienen. John Robinson: I happened to be at Nicholson's Music Store one afternoon and picked up two new releases: "Strange Brew" by Cream and "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix. Cream were good and I'd heard Clapton before with John Mayall and the Yardbirds, but Jimi was another thing altogether. "Stone Free", the B-side was a good example of what a small group could do, and after playing both records to the guys, we all agreed that this was the direction to go in. By the New Zealand tour of Xmas '67, we had most of the Hendrix and Cream releases covered. Beim Label Frenzy Music erschien 2017 die CompilationCD "Mr. Guy Fawkes (The Complete Spin Recordings And More 1967-1970)" von The Dave Miller Set. Das Filmplakat warb mit den Zeilen: Tonight you are invited to a 'Pill Party'. You will experience every jolt... every jar of a Psychedelic Circus... The Beatniks... Sickniks... and Acid-Heads... and you will witness their ecstasies, their agonies and their bizarre sensualities... You will be hurled into their debauched dreams and frenzied fantasies! For the adult minded... the revealing story of today's... Hallucination Generation. Wow! Hippie Exploitation. Vom Film "Psych-Out", der 1968 vom Regisseur Richard Rush gedreht wurde, habe ich mir den Original Motion Picture Sound Track geleistet, der Musik von The Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Storybook, The Seeds und Boenzee Cryque zu bieten hat. These are the PLEASURE LOVERS! Several hundred young people gathered in San Francisco and simultaneously swallowed tabs of acid while the police stood by helplessly. Eric Godtland: Dedicated to Lux Interior, Ivy Rorschach and The Cramps. Thank you for pointing the way to the graveyard. Ja, und Paul Krassner schreibt: When I told my mother about taking LSD, she was quite concerned. 'It could lead to marijuana', she warned. Mom was right about that.
