Diese EP wurde in der Besetzung Daniel Johnston (Vocals, Piano, Guitar), Brett Hartenbach (Guitar) und Mark Hartenbach (Harmonica, Guitar) eingespielt und ist einfach toll, wie das meiste von und mit Daniel Johnston. Yeah, manchmal ist Daniel Johnston so toll, dass ich weinen muss. In meiner Popsammlung befinden sich von Daniel Johnston die Alben "Yip/Jump Music" 1983, "Daniel Johnston & Jad Fair" 1989, "Fun" 1994, "Why Me?" 2000 und "Is And Always Was" 2009 sowie die Compilation "The Late Great Daniel Johnston - Discovered Covered" 2005. Weiters die beiden Bücher "Find A Way" 2004, "This Is Like The Big Time" 2009 und die Tribute-EPs "A Tribute To Daniel Johnston, Vol.1" 1994 und "A Tribute To Daniel Johnston, Vol.3" 1996, auf denen Daniel Johnston von den Bands TV Personalities, Bartlebees, Wimp Factor 14, Hanshalf Trio, Half Japanese, Kitchen Cynics, Bedlam Rovers und Maylove Tribute gezollt wird. Es ist einfach sehr aufregend, Zeit mit Daniel Johnston zu verbringen. Die EP "Laurie" habe ich leider nicht, der Song befindet sich bei mir auf einer CDR mit dem Titel "Monsters", die mir der Freund und Maler Andreas Leikauf zusammengestellt hat. Danke! Andreas Leikauf brennt mir ab und zu CDRs zum Geburtstag oder zu Weihnachten und sie sind immer ein Erlebnis. Andreas Leikauf hat mir 2006 zu meinem 50sten Geburtstag das Bild "Superfritz" gemalt, da steh ich im Supermandress auf dem Erdenrund, das mit zwei Schweineohren geschmückt oder maskiert ist. Das kleine Bild hängt seither über meinem Schreibtisch. So, jetzt will ich euch noch 4 alte Bluessongs ans Herz legen, die ich selbst gerade erst entdeckt habe, yeah, "Hoodoo Blues" 1924 von Bessie Brown, "Going Away Blues" 1928 von Lottie Kimbrough, "Low-Down Rounder Blues" 1928 von Peg Leg Howell und "No Job Blues" von Ramblin' Thomas.
