Der Song stammt vom Album "Constrictor", das 1986 bei MCA Records erschien. An diesem Album waren neben Sänger Alice Cooper alias Vincent Damon Furnier noch die Musiker Kane Roberts (Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Backing Vocals), Kip Winger (Bass, Backing Vocals), Donnie Kisselbach (Bass), David Rosenberg (Drums) und Paul Delph (Keyboards, Backing Vocals) beteiligt. Der Song erschien 1987 auch als Single, mit einer Live-Version von "School’s Out" als B-Side. Hit wurde der Song "Teenage Frankenstein" keiner, einen solchen hatte Alice Cooper erst wieder 1989 mit dem Song "Poison". Erfolgreicher war der Song "He’s Back (The Man Behind The Mask)", der ebenfalls aus dem Album "Constrictor" ausgekoppelt wurde und mit einer Liveversion des Songs "Billion Dollar Babies" auf der B-Side als Single erschien. "He’s Back (The Man Behind The Mask)" schaffte es zumindest in Schweden in die Top Ten. Er ist auch der theme song des Slasher-Films "Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives" 1986. Alice Cooper hat ja nicht nur Songs für Horrorfilme geschrieben, sondern in einigen auch als Schauspieler mitgewirkt, "Monster Dog" 1986, "Prince Of Darkness" 1987, "Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare" 1991, "The Attic Expeditions" 2001, "Suck" 2009 und "Dark Shadows" 2012. Nein, nicht als Hauptdarsteller, seine Rollen waren eher klein, aber immerhin vorhanden. Alice Cooper: Throughout my life, there are four people I've met who were truly original people. Seit 2004 moderiert Alice Cooper die Radiosendung "Nights With Alice Cooper", die man seit 2013 beim hessischen Radiosender Radio Bob unter dem Namen "Die Alice Cooper Show" auch bei uns hören kann. Zuletzt erschien von Alice Cooper 2021 beim Label Ear Music das Album "Detroit Stories", das es in Großbritannien, Österreich, Finnland, Schweden, Schweiz und Deutschland in die Top Ten schaffte. Wow! Lang lebe Alice Cooper, er ist inzwischen auch bereits 73 Jahre alt.
