Blind Willie Johnson nahm den Song 1928 für Columbia Records auf, Bob Dylan interpretierte ihn 1962 auf seinem Debütalbum und Led Zeppelin 1975 auf ihren Album "Physical Graffiti". Produziert wurde das Album von Foetus alias JG Thirlwell, der auch unter dem Namen Clint Ruin einigen von euch ein Begriff sein könnte. Das Album "Shotgun Wedding" wurde 2012 bei Cherry Red Records als CD wiederveröffentlicht. Lydia Lunch alias Lydia Koch ist noch immer in der Popwelt unterwegs, zuletzt erschienen von ihr und mit ihr das Spoken-Word-Album "Marchesa, Solo" 2018 sowie die Pop-Alben "Urge To Kill" 2015 von Lydia Lunch Retrovirus und "Under The Covers" 2017 von Lydia Lunch & Cypress Grove. Lydia Lunch Retrovirus sind Lydia Lunch (Vocals), Weasel Walter (Guitar), Tim Dahl (Bass) und Bob Bert (Drums). Cypress Grove ist ein englischer Gitarrist, mit dem Lydia Lunch bisher 3 Alben veröffentlicht hat. Rowland S. Howard starb 2009 im Alter von 50 Jahren in einem Krankenhaus in Melbourne, Australien an Leberkrebs. Er spielte in den Bands The Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party, Crime & The City Solution und These Immortal Souls, war Sideman von Lydia Lunch, Nikki Sudden und Jeremy Gluck und veröffentlichte die beiden Soloalben "Teenage Snuff Film" 1999 und "Pop Crimes" 2009. Lydia Lunch hat für ihr Album "Queen Of Siam", erschienen 1980 bei ZE Records, auch eine tolle Version des Songs "Spooky" aufgenommen. Yeah!. Der Song war 1967 ein großer Hit für die Band Classics IV. Im Jahr 1979 wurde der Song nochmals zum Hit, diesmal in der Version der Band Atlanta Rhythm Section. In beide Bands waren Gitarrist J.R. Cobb und Keyboarder Dean Daughtry involviert. Und auf dem Album "Urge To Kill" von Lydia Lunch Retrovirus ist eine Version des Songs „Frankie Teardrop“ von Suicide drauf. Ebenfalls sehr toll, yeah! Weasel Walter, der Gitarrist von Lydia Lunch Retrovirus, schrieb mit der Band The Flying Luttenbachers Popgeschichte. Mein Lieblingsalbum von den Flying Luttenbachers ist "Destroy All Music", das 1995 bei Bourgeois / Elevated Chimp Records erschienen ist. Free-Jazz-Noise-Punk, yeah. The Flying Luttenbachers bestanden damals aus Dylan Posa (Guitar), Jeb Bishop (Bass, Trombone, Casio MT-65), Weasel Walter (Drums), Chad Organ (Saxophone, Moog Synthesizer) und Ken Vandermark (Saxophone, Clarinet). Tolle Band. Lydia Lunch feierte am 2. Juni 2022 ihren 63. Geburtstag. Hoch soll sie leben, hoch soll sie leben, drei Mal hoch.
