Für die Musik und Produktion ist Clint Ruin alias James George Thirlwell verantwortlich und für den Gesang Lydia Lunch. Uups, ein kleiner Fehler, "Why Don’t We Do It In The Road" erschien bereits 1991 bei Big Cat Records auf der EP "Don’t Fear The Reaper". Von Lydia Lunch alias Lydia Anne Koch hab ich ja bereits erzählt, also widmen wir uns jetzt James George Thirlwell. Er wurde 1960 in Melbourne, Australien geboren und studierte am Melbourne State College Kunst. Im Jahr 1978 übersiedelte er nach London, England und stieg in die Punkband PragVEC ein, die von 1978 bis 1981 aktiv war. PragVEC wurden von Susan Gogan (Vocals, Synthesizer), John Studholme (Guitar, Synthesizer), David Boyd (Bass) und Nick Cash (Drums) gegründet. Unter dem Namen You’ve Got Foetus On Your Breath veröffentlichte James George Thirlwell 1981 beim Label Self Immolation sein Debütalbum "Deaf", das er im Alleingang einspielte und auch selbst produzierte. Mit der Single "Calamity Crush / Catastrophe Crunch" schaffte es James George Thirlwell zum ersten Mal in die Top Ten der UK Indie Charts. Die Single erschien unter dem Namen Foetus~Art~Terrorism. Platz 1 der UK Indie Charts schaffte er 1985 mit dem Album "Nail", dieses Mal als Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel. Es gab auch noch die Namen Foetus In Your Bed, Foetus And The Tranvestites From Hell, Foetus Corruptus, Foetus Eruptus, Foetus In Excelsis Corruptus Deluxe, Foetus Inc., Foetus Interruptus, Foetus Over Frisco, Foetus Under Glass oder Foetus All Nude Revue. Wow! Unter dem Pseudonym Clint Ruin veröffentlichte James George Thirlwell gemeinsam mit Lydia Lunch die beiden EPs "Stinkfist" 1988 und "Don’t Fear The Reaper" 1991. Weiters veröffentlichte er unter Pseudonymen wie Steroid Maximus, Bubba Kowalski, Xordox oder Manorexia und als Mitglied von Bands wie Come, Garage Monsters, Wiseblood, The Flesh Volcano, Baby Zizanie oder Hydroze Plus. Zuletzt erschien von James George Thirlwell unter dem Pseudonym Xordox 2021 beim Label Editions Mego das Album "Omniverse". James George Thirlwell: Yeah, I call myself a composer. I have been calling myself a composer for a while now. See if you call yourself a musician, someone instantly will say, 'Well what instrument do you play?' And then I'll say, 'I'm not so much an instrumentalist, I'm more of a composer because I play a lot of different instruments. But not necessarily any one instrument really well. I use the studio to create what I do. So maybe the studio is my first instrument?' In the end, it's just easier to say I'm a composer. Blixa Bargeld: Thirlwell ist ein Rekonstrukteur und Puzzlespieler, er mischt, formt und setzt vorhandene Musikstücke zu völlig neuen Tonelementen zusammen.
